Hunting Island with Mima and Grandpa

We headed to Beaufort and took the kids to Hunting Island. We had never been to this beach yet. The kids had a ball and being almost a camp site is very different from any beaches we have here in Charleston.

The waves were relatively small that day so the kids were able to jump, swim and let the waves chase them all afternoon. It was perfect!

The little guys had a ball getting wet in the water and then playing in the sand. That is the favorite part at this age.

And no trip to Hunting Island would be complete without a stop to the Shrimp Shack! This place has been around since I was a kid. When my parents would go down to Fripp Island, we would always stop here for a "shrimp burger." That is what they are most famous for.

It was as delicious as I remember from years before.

Do you know what the ocean, warm weather, full bellies and a car ride all contribute to?

A solid hushabye for all of the children all the way home!
