A 3rd birthday celebration!

And just like that I have a baby turning three years old! We had a wonderful celebration today at the Little Gym with his whole little class. The children had SO much fun as it was a few's first time at a birthday party. Tripp LOVED it and loved running around. It is so cute at this age as they still independently play. They like to sit by each other but they don't understand group play yet and all run the motions and the games at the same time but really are independently doing things.

Don was on call today and as luck would have it got slammed right around the time of the party. We still had a great time but wished he could join in the fun.

Tripp, you are the funniest little guy. As a toddler with Juliette, the house remained intact. Somehow, since you have come along in typical boy style, I feel like the house takes a beating everyday. There are some days it seems anything you touch either gets banged, bruised or broken. Hence life with a little boy! To think there are two more the poor house has to survive.

You are truly a Comedian. Your particularness is still very evident. It is most noted every morning when you get out of bed and are already concerned about what you will be wearing for the day. Your favorite is still "Birthday Dog and jammie pants." If you could wear jammies every day and all day you would be one thrilled big!

You have begun to ask lots of questions and "why" is your favorite word. You have a fit even thinking that it may be time to take a nap or go hushaby. I remind you each day that Mommy wishes she could take a nap! Before nap though you love to sit on the chair and read stories and you love a good story telling. You laugh hysterically when we tell you the story of the little boys and girls and their dogs…

"There once was a little boy named Thomas and he loved his dog Gypsy
and a little girl Juliette and she loved her dog Dypsy
and another little boy Tyler and he loved his dog Typsy
and there was a Mommy and she loved her dog Pipsy
and Daddy who loved his dog Mipsy
and finally there was a little boy named Tripp and he loved his dog "Bob"

And finally in good three year old style you love the word "NO"… if we say yes to anything, you have to disagree with "No"…. if we say it is…. you say, "No it isn't" and if we offer you something we would like you to have, you will respond, "I no want that…" EXCEPT if its a lollipop! You are a boy with the biggest sweet tooth! Your Tessa says each day that you will marry a girl some day named "Candy"

My sweet boy loves some sweets and has the sweetest little heart! We cherish you each day and love you you SO very much! You are my favorite three year old around!

Love,
Mommy

Tripp and his two favorite girls and best little friend Carson! He loves to call Zoey his "girlfriend"

A birthday bash

Juliette and her classmates had a ball at Claire's birthday party! They painted at "Wine and Design" and giggled the whole time with each other. It is so much fun to sit back and just watch the little girl fun! They were each so proud of the art work.

Half flapper, half mermaid… half who knows what else...

This girl cracks me up! My Mom and I just found the cutest bathing suit for her with a swim cap to add to the ensemble! Are you kidding me? She looks half flapper and half swimmer! Can't wait to see the looks when she shows up at the neighborhood pool with this specialty!

I get the feeling she is over the cold weather when she comes trotting down in this outfit at 8:00 PM.

Peace and Tranquility

One of my favorite parts of the day is right when the first baby wakes up typically before anyone in the house is awake. I always get out of the bed and bring my pillow and blankie (which is mine since I was born) up the stairs in hopes that the awake twin will go back to sleep. This is not usually the case. 90% of the time it is Tyler who is squeaking around 6:15. This morning as my usual I bring him down and keep him all swaddled up and the two of us turn the fire on, keep the room dark and slowly watch the win come up out of the window. The house is so quiet at this time you could hear a mouse stir.

It is always a new day a new refreshing start to our wild and crazy life with four little ones that I wouldn't change for anything. In that peace and quiet I thank the Lord for all of these blessings in my life.

All dressed up and no where to go…?

Oh excuse me… all dressed up and off to the bowling alley! This for the bowling alley?

Yes m'am… her faux fur dress and trying to blow-dry and style her hair. First grade has come and with that has come all the girlieness! She LOVES to get into my makeup for blush and mascara… amazingly enough you should see her put it on. She has a real nack for it. If she could put blush on every morning she would. She loves to check herself out after she puts everything on and her hair is all done.

Look who's two months old today

Day by day these two little precious pieces become more and more alert and continue to sleep less and less. They take a good nap in the morning and a good nap in the afternoon. They are very happy babies and really enjoy when they know the other is right by them. Their big brother and sister both love them but they are not really interactive enough for them. They still really don't have much interest in them. Juliette said the other day, "Mommy the babies are so adorable and now they really look human." Tripp just continues to ask, "Which one is dat?"

As they get older the interest in them will grow. It has been a cold winter and we have had only one or two decently warm days that we were able to get outside and take a walk. The little guys both had RSV and that was not fun! They were both miserable with the strand of a cold that is so hard on infants. We are glad to be over that hump!

So far I have learned that one key to surviving twins is to make sure that both do not get hungry at the same time. I have found my two arms at certain times able to do more things than I ever thought possible including feeding a bottle to one with one arm and holding the other baby with the other arm. Sometimes I just have to laugh at myself. Two crying babies at once will not give a good feed to either baby.

7 weeks old today

Cookies or Cupcakes anyone?

We had a bake sale going on today on a cold day! Nanette, Danette and Isabella originally planned to sell their goodies. That is until they tasted how delicious they were and had their own party with a Frozen theme. Danette is Anna and Isabella is Elsa.
