Special few days with Great Grandpa Bud and Aunt Mary Ellen

We had a wonderful visit with Great Grandpa Bud and Mary Ellen. They could not believe the huge developments in Juliette of course since they had seen her since the baptism. She was not only walking around everywhere but RUNNING... she was wide open with excitement to have company. Thank you for a wonderful visit and we love you all very much!

PS... her little rocking chair that she is sitting in is Great Grandpa Buddy's chair when he was a baby.

Birthdays and showers all weekend

Happy birthday to Thomas Tyler and Addie King! We had so much fun at the parties. Thomas' party was at Wannamaker Park at the sprinklers. Juliette surely loved the sprinklers. Addie's party was at the Little Gym. We had a great time there as well.

We had such a special shower to go to - Susan Huntington's baby shower. We showered her with gifts to welcome her little baby boy! Not much longer - just another 6 weeks. Thanks Ferry girls for a wonderful shower - the highlight is always the Ferri cake!

Portrait Innovations

What a secret to me... I went to Portrait Innovations over in the Town Center in Mt. Pleasant on Juliette's birthday to get some pictures taken - the staff was great, you got to see your pictures on a huge flat screen 15 minutes later and after you decided what you wanted the pictures would be ready for you to take home. The price was amazing for everything that we got including the CD with all of the shots on them. Check it out if you haven't yet! Here are a few of the pictures taken.

Happy Birthday to you... happy birthday to you... happy birthday dear Juliette happy birthday to you!

A year ago today was the big day where our lives changed so much - and what a wonderful change at that! You continue to change each day doing new things and new explorations. Walking is now your main mode of travel. You can follow Mommy and Daddy pretty much around anywhere although you are now enjoying exploring things for yourself. Sometimes you are so anxious to walk that you lift your legs up when we are holding you and try to push yourself away to get down and stroll around. You love to watch the Baby Einstein production "On the Farm" as Old McDonald seems to be your favorite song. You dance now when music is on by bending your legs and moving back and forth. I have not determined your level of rhythm but hopefully you take after your Daddy and not your Mommy on that score.

You are still a wonderful sleeper and eater. You have only woken up one time in the middle of the night since about 8 weeks old. That night you were running a fever so we knew there had to be a reason. There is nothing that you will not eat. You take after your Mommy in that you LOVE cheese! That is your favorite when get a little piece.

There are no real words yet. You talk a mile a minute saying everything from dadada to mamama but we don't think that you are associating the words with us yet. You love your books and could turn the pages over and over again.

Our First Birthday celebration

What a wonderful day to celebrate baby Juliette's birthday today. It is so hard to believe that she is going to be 1 year old on Thursday. She gets more and more fun each day... if that is even possible. We loved our new toys that we got. Juliette loved her little cupcake and could not get enough. She was on a sugar high all afternoon... after all there was no time for a nappy! Thanks to everyone for making it such a special day!
