Happy Halloween!

We had our big Halloween party last night that my work puts on at Boone Hall. It was SO much fun! Don and I were cowboys and Juliette was the Indian. We called her "Jujahontas". Juliette was a perfect little Indian all night and crashed while dancing with Mommy at the end.

Lilly May's Birthday party

Happy Birthday Lilly May! We had a great afternoon at the park in Summerville celebrating Lilly May's birthday. Juliette decided that she LOVED the slide. She wanted to go up and down the slide all afternoon.

The best $42 investment

This has been the best investment for Juliette. She could ride all day in her car. She lets you know when she wants to be pushed or when she is really just interested in opening the hood to get her books out. Check out our house too - we have never had this much spirit. We even have a little scarecrow in the front yard. Juliette loves the scarecrow too. She wants to ride past it each time in her car.

Halloween is in the air

It is beginning to feel like fall around Charleston. Today it is not even reaching 60 degrees. There is a definite chill in the air. Juliette loves running around with pumpkins in her hands.

Ashley Jackson's birthday party

Juliette had an especially great time at the birthday party yesterday. There was a jump castle and she was more interested in the little people's socks and shoes that were outside of the castle than getting in. She is so very social. I am amazed that she will go up to anyone and socialize in her own little way with them - children or adults. She CRASHED on the way home and was asleep within 30 seconds. We did not even change her out of her clothes for the night.

My Mom made Juliette this adorable Halloween outfit and there is something about that she loves. She will point to the witch and the ghost to make sure that you see what she has on.

Three generations to Minnesota

What a wonderful few days we spent in Minneapolis! We continued the annual trip to the midwest but this time with the newest generation, Juliette, to see our Northern family (Mom's best friends from college) and their daughters. We have all been like family over the years and now we were able to introduce all of the babies to each other. The biggest excitement of the trip besides seeing everyone may have been that we got 4 inches of snow while we were there! It was so beautiful and it was Juliette's first time of course seeing it. It was a good thing we had help from everyone because Juliette did not own a jacket warm enough for the tundra.

Visit to Kasson to meet Leyla, Madeleine & Eleanor

Just an amazing weekend we had with everyone. Thanks for all the great memories and friendships! Cheers too to the newest generation of friendships!

Happy Fourteen Months Old

Wow! Here we are another month old. I have to admit I have been so slack on the blog due to the move and just getting settled in. We are pretty much totally moved in though and organized at this point.

Juliette seems to love her new house. She has become a master at getting up the stairs and will proudly giggle when she makes it all by herself up to her room. She has not quite mastered getting down the stairs and that is when her Mommy feels the anxiety. We have to watch her at all times because she is SO fast now.

Her favorite two things now are the dogs Gypsy and Gracie. She will run around the house just chasing them. She is generally very gentle with them. However, Don did have to stop her after she took a wooden mallet from her medical kit and was bopping them on the nose in between the eyes. They are so patient and just generally run away when she does something like that to them.

She is still a terrific eater and a fantastic sleeper! She sleeps 12hours at night and I do feel the transition to one nap a day coming on. She is starting to resist that afternoon nap. We still have not found any food that she does not like. Yesterday for the first time we steamed some cauliflower for her and she even loved that. Cheese is still her very favorite treat though for sure.

She is babbling all kind of things now a days. Her favorite word is still "da da". If i say "ma ma" she will look right at me and say "da da". She also now likes to say "hi" and "do" for dog.

She is BUSY all day! There is no down time for Juliette. She likes to be on the move ALL day. She loves to watch her baby Einstein videos and sing with the music. She has become quite the dancer when any music comes on and will bend her knees right along with music. I think that she has a lot more soul than her Mama and Daddy - well maybe just her Mama.

I could not believe that I registered for a little 2K program at our church. She will begin next August for two mornings a week. I think that she will love it. She loves to socialize with little babies her age - girls and boys but especially BOYS!

I am sure that I will think of a hundred more things but for now that is all.

Also a shout out to one of my dear friends, Susan! Welcome to motherhood. You are now officially part of the mommyhood circle :) Congratulations on that most handsome baby boy!
