Oh snow how we all loved thee...

We just returned from what I would call a FABULOUS, MAGICAL, PEACEFUL.... (well that is a stretch) few days away in Beaver Creek. Juliette was off on to her second ski vacation and Tripp was off to his first.

Upon arrival I was concerned about the "Fuss Pusser" (Tripp has been dubbed this name as he was trying to call Juliette this and did not know the word "Fuss Bucket" and called her "Fuss Pusser" - many days it fits him perfectly)

We get to the resort and step outside and this little guy was about to learn how to step up his game...

Juliette had some thoughts on her first day of skiing. She was ready for the day but kind of afraid she would have forgotten how to ski.

Here Juliette was on her first day of skiing two years ago when I picked her up from ski school. She was just a baby in Kindergarten here.

The kids were ready to go after all of the fittings. Tripp was part of the "Mogul Mice." To say he had a ball was an understatement. I wondered what the day would bring for him and would not have been surprised to get a call. Boy was I wrong!

After his first day he was ready to talk about it!

Sounds like the jelly sandwich was a big part of the day and the child loved walking with one leg and skiing with the other... go figure!

His instructors were digging his purple pants. He was easy to spot and loved that his Sister's fit him! Who would know he could be such a fashion plate!

We came in briefly after skiing around 3:30 and then headed straight back out for what may have been the most exciting part of the day....

S'mores and kiddie cocktails outside for the little ones and Prosecco and gin gimlets for the big ones!

This little guy continued to love it....

He loved it so much... I am not sure whether he was more excited to be dancing or getting ready to ski! It must have been the purple pants!

And if he were a bit tired of standing, one could find him peeking through his knees just off the magic carpet looking for friends.

By the end the little guy could really go. He was promoted up the mountain after his last day. He made it to level 1!

Juliette loved it! It was hard to find her because she was up and down the mountain. She met some very sweet little girls over the three days and on the fourth day had a little boy in her foursome. She was happy, poised and very comfortable on the mountain! On the last day we were able to find her going up on her last run for the day. We took Tripp up in the Gondola to watch her as you can see above. She was ecstatic as she was promoted to level 4!

She was sad to leave her instructor Mindy but we assured her we would see her again next year!

Tripp was so happy to hug his instructor but also could not wait to go and try to find....

his picture!

You can hear the screeching right now as Juliette is threatening a snow ball fight with Tripp! She has the ball in hand and he is running for his life....

Only to be caught by his big Sister. There is no running from her!

The kids are thrilled to find a playground anywhere even in the middle of feet of snow!

We laughed so hard over this... Tripp is now a self proclaimed hunter! He runs through the house "hunting" for his dinner. Now any of you hunters out there? Would you know what this is? Tripp thinks this big brown bear is a coyote.... I am afraid my hunter has some knowledge improvements to make before he can kill any dinner.

Once we convinced him that he was surely a bear and not a coyote, he was obsessed with the arrow in his toot! He tried to grab that arrow every time we passed this piece of art!

He also let us know... "That arrow by his toot must smell like bad b-weath!"
(actual word he way trying to say - bad breath)

And in the words of Tripp, "Mommy, I never want to go back to school. I want this to be my new school..." Little one I think you are onto something.
I would want to be in ski school every day too.

And not even on the plane to leave yet and, "Mommy, when can we go back?"

Goodbye Colorado and we hope to see you again real soon!
