Happy Halloween!

Well what an exciting night we had - really what an exciting several days we have had. We went over for chili at my parent's house and then carved the pumpkin before heading out on their street "trick or treating". We decided that is the best street because the houses are closer together and you can hit more of them that way. Juliette was WAY into the whole trick or treating concept this year. It was the first year that she really "got it". She would walk up to each house and say "trick or treat" and then hold conversations with the people. The only time she was a little nervous is when she went up to houses that were really decorated. She ate more candy while walking from house to house than you can imagine. The candy has disappeared as of this morning and she has not even asked about it.

We had my annual Halloween party at work. That is always so much fun. Don was on call all weekend but luckily he was able to make it. In celebration of call, he came as Michael Jackson's Doctor - Dr. Conrad Murray. It was actually pretty funny. Juliette and I were both witches - the Mommy witch and the baby witch.

November is here and such a good month to reflect on so much we all have to be so thankful for.

Hope everyone is well and a very happy November to everyone.

Just some more fall fun...

We are just continuing to enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful fall weather. This weekend we are only going to be in the low 60's for a high. That just sounds so perfect. The fair just came to town so we are looking forward to that as well as my work Halloween party this Sunday. Juliette had her school Halloween party today so by the time Halloween actually rolls around Monday evening, I know someone who will be exhausted!

By the way, today at her school party she received her little "progress report". Mrs Jones told me that her two specialties are "knowing her parts of the body" and "socializing." Whenever one of her friends falls or there is a question about the body, Juliette is the first to tell him/her what part of the body just got hurt. That made her Daddy proud for sure. I am just waiting for her to tell a friend that his/her femur just got hurt - for now she is still sticking with "shoulder". She is quite social and really has blossomed from the 2's to the 3's. If there is a group together, Juliette wants to be right in the middle and part of the group. Everyday she seems to have a new best friend.
Last weekend we had a birthday party for Ju's good friend Ashley. There was a pony there for the party. Can you guess how many times she rode the pony? 17 times - she kept the pony busy the whole time.

Her Halloween costume arrived in the mail. She has not wanted to take it off. She is a "Spiderina Witch" - kind of similar to a ballerina witch.

Our imagination these days...

I enjoy each day watching Juliette and her imagination at work. She can be playing with pretend friends, pretend Princesses or just talking and playing by herself. Last night she decided that it was a perfect evening to play on the pool steps - mind you the water by now is quite cool. It does not bother her in the least. Who says that a pair of rain boots can't keep one warm?

She also enjoys running around the house dressed up as a Princess. Today we were actually able to get some pictures of her in action.

She wanted me to tell her a story about herself as a Princess. Of course it had to involve the big bad wolf finding her. She is a bit obsessed with the big bad wolf. At the end she told me that it was time for her to marry Daddy the Prince. By the way, she has asked me several times this past week who she could marry. She was very disappointed when first I told her that she would not be able to Daddy because Mommy was married to him and then that she could not marry her granddad Doh or her Uncle Danny. She told me that she did not want to marry a little boy like Thomas Tyler (ha Lee) because she needed to marry a "big boy"! Little girls are so darn funny!

Oh fall how we love thee...

I think for sure that fall is my favorite time of the year. There are so many fun things going on each weekend that it is hard to make time for everything. This past weekend we went to the Boone Hall Pumpkin extravaganza. It was SO much fun! We rode a hayride and junmped on jump castles all afternoon. Juliette loved feeding the goats and picking out her favorite pumpkin!

One of Juliette's best little friends had a birthday tea party and dress up party yesterday. The staff dressed all of the girls up in adult dresses and pinned them to them. They got to choose earrings and all of the accessories that they could wish for. After that they got to have a style show for all of the ladies who were having lunch there. All of the girls had so much fun!

Juliette continues to love her little school. She really loves to draw and gets better and better. She drew me a picture of "me and Mommy" - I was so impressed!

Her other favorite activity in the house is riding her tricycle around the house. That is her favorite mode of transporation to get from room to room.

Fall Fishing

I just love fall fishing. It is the best time of the year to fish. Juliette, Don and I have been out every weekend for the last month. We have so much fun and Juliette gets better and better each time she goes out. She is still a great helper with handing us a shrimp or mud minnor for the bait; however, she would much prefer now helping to bring in the fish as well as get to hold each of them.

We were out today and while trying to fill a bottle of water she fell right over. No worries, with a life jacket on and a quick grab ot of the water she was perfectly fine. Her Daddy took his shirt off and she was warm and fishing again in no time.

In this family, she does not have much of a choice but to LOVE to fish :)!

After a brief fall in the water, she was dressed in Daddy's shirt and ready for more

Juliette and Belinda our friendly witch

This is Belinda our new dear frined who came for Halloween. She joins us duirng the day on our front porch and then leaves each evening on her broom to go to her pumpkin patch. Juliette was terrified of her at first but has grown to love her and will now even sit on her lap. Her favorite thing to touch on her is her "pimple" on her face.
