Brunch with Aunt Susan and Uncle Ben

We had a wonderful brunch with Susan and Ben today at the Old Village Post House. They are expecting a little baby boy in 16 weeks. How exciting! We hope that the three diaper changes during brunch charged you up about your future. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and cannot wait for the arrival of baby Huntington.

Also, Juliette discovered velcro on her shoes today at church. Wow, it kept her occupied for nearly 20 minutes. As you can see below, before falling fast asleep the velcro entertained her nicely.

One minute in the car after all of the excitement!

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Michael!

We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday at baby Michael's 1st birthday party. Juliette loved playing with all of the toys and socializing with the babies. Thank you so much Sally for including us for such a fun celebration!

Also, look at the cobia that Grandpa and Daddy caught. A great day in Beaufort they had for sure!

Pass the peas please...

Juliette had her nine month wellness check up today. She is doing great! She weighs 22.3 pounds and she is 28.75 inches. Dr. Zimlich said that she can eat really anything cut up in little pieces except any products with egg or nuts. Well for dinner I experimented and fed her peas and strawberries from her special plate from Uncle Danny. I just looked at her and was in complete shock at how grown up she looked at that minute. She was just like a miniature little girl with her sippy cup and plate.

Memorial Day weekend

We would like to thank all of those who serve or have served our country. We had such a nice long Memorial Day weekend. Don and I went to a wedding of his attending Professor's daughter at the aquarium. We had a great time and LOTS of laughs with some of Don's closest buddies from residency. We had a cookout of brats and burgers with my parents and the Ollis' yesterday for Memorial Day. What fun! Here are just a few pictures. Olivia and Cecilia were so much fun with Juliette. They wanted to carry her around like she was a little doll baby.

A little Monkey...

Juliette continues to grow each day. I look at her and really cannot believe it. She gets funnier and funnier by the day. Don said last night that she is becoming a real ham!

Tessa Feeding the little birds

This picture made me laugh. We had a play date with all of the Davis girls and Mrs. Davis. Mom was feeding all of the little ones puffs. They were swarming around her for puffs. I thought it was so very cute.

The Minnow's Graduation

Juliette graduated from her first set of swim lessons. Her instructor Abbey decided that she was the best back floater in the class. She was totally relaxed on the back and trusted me fully. She just loves the water. The bath has become one of her favorite things! Yesterday morning when I was taking a shower, she figured out how to turn the water on in the bath. She was letting me know that it was her turn to get in and play!

Wonderful Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Collins

Our wonderful neighbors from Ashborough the Collins were in town from Virginia for Sculpture in the Park in Summerville this past weekend. We had so much fun getting to see them. Juliette was so excited to meet them. They truly are like family to us! We miss you already and really hope to see you back next year. Mr. Collins your sculptures were truly amazing!

Dr. Rastafarian Feelgood

Dr Feelgood has become quite the special little man. Daddy began to talk to baby Juliette as Dr. Feelgood (Daddy completely named him and all - he even speaks to Juliette in a German accent). It is the cutest thing! Anyway, Juliette loves this little puppet. She carries it out of the crib with her and all. Notice his hair has been all ripped out of the bun that it was in. He is looking pretty rough for such a young man.

Funny Friday Photos

Happy Friday to all! Good luck with the cobia fishing in Beaufort this weekend Daddy, Uncle Danny and Grandpa Stovall.

Juliette the puffalump that you are holding and like so much was your Mommy's when she was little. Does anyone remember that rage of the puffalump when we were young?

OHHH news flash.... we are still looking for something that Juliette does not like the taste of. Daddy just caught Juliette munching on a piece of dog food!!!! Yuck Yuck Yuck!

Our amphibian's first swimming lesson

Well today we had our very first swimming lesson at the Scott Park pool down the street. Juliette is a little amphibian. She did great! All of her grandparents were there to watch the first lesson. Everyone enjoyed her so much and saw full scale entertainment. She was a little young to try to teach but we practiced a lot. She worked on kicking her feet, using her arms on her belly by reaching for a ball, blowing bubbles (this one we did not get too far on) and splish splashing in the water.

It reminded me so much of when I was a young little lifeguard and used to teach the tadpoles and guppies. This was the level of swimmer. I never taught the minnows though which is what Juliette would be. It is as much fun for me to be back in the water with her as it is for her to be taking the little lesson. We have three more lessons for the season.

Happy Happy Mother's Day

To all the wonderful Mother's, a very happy Mother's Day! We had a very special day today with Juliette and Daddy. Daddy was very lucky with call and did not get called in all night! That started the day off to be a perfect day. We went to church and then to brunch. Juliette gave me the best present - a nap during brunch. It was her usual nap time but she has gotten to the point that any movement or noise outside of the house will wake her up. Somehow, we were able to keep her asleep. She woke up during the last ten minutes. Mommy even got a good nap in today which was perfect on a rainy afternoon.

Tomorrow we have our first swimming lesson that we will be most excited for. We will let everyone know how it goes.

Three generations celebrate Mother's Day

We had a very special day together with my Mom, Juliette and me. We celebrated three generations together and my first Mother's Day. Juliette and I took my Mom (Tessa) to lunch at Blossom's and then we bummed downtown for the afternoon. Juliette was perfect today. She could not have found a more special day to be so good. We could not resist stopping at Baked for the fantastic chocolate woopie as the much needed pick me up after an action packed afternoon. Funny how the most fun stores to go into even now on Mother's Day are children's stores. Everything is so adorable and cute! We just love finding little things for Juliette. Happy Mother's Day Mom and thank you for being such a wonderful Mother to me.

We look forward to a very special day with Daddy and Juliette for Mother's Day tomorrow on my first Mother's Day!

Funny Friday... our Hippy Chick!

So Daddy is not particularly fond of this dress. Mommy loves it and found it at the Flowertown Festival. Daddy calls it her "hippy outfit". Here's to you Daddy and your Hippy Chick!
