Lunch with Toni Tredinick
My Mom's best friend was in town this past weekend and we were able to have lunch together. Toni reminded me of when my Mom called her and asked if Toni would just come over so that she could take a shower. She verified that I cried the whole time (as I did with colic the first three months of my life). I cannot even imagine what my poor Mom and Dad went through. Juliette has been such an easy baby. She has become quite active I must say and does not like to be held much or sit still. She wants to be on the move and exploring. It was wonderful to see you Toni and we hope to see you back in Charleston for another visit soon.

Annual AMTA Tennis Tournament
Juliette and I decided to go out and watch some tennis this year. The AMTA is at Wild Dunes so we did not have to go far. Don and I are playing mixed doubles this year together. This morning as I dropped Juliette off I left some prunes for her breakfast. Doh and Tessa kind of laughed and said are you sure you want to give her this? Never again, we had three explosions while we were at the tennis match this afternoon. Of course, the first time Juliette was wearing her new lady bug smock that Tessa made her and a dribble went on it. It always works out that way. Thank goodness for wash machines.
Also, I promise that she had a great time. She has gotten a little overwhelmed when she meets a lot of people. One of the sweetest ladies at the tournament came up to her and she kind of pulled her arm in when the lady went to touch her. I think that she is just kind of taking it all in. She has gotten where if you leave the room and she can not see you she will cry. Each day brings a new stage. It is so much fun to relish each new stage.

Oh by the way, we now have 7 teeth!

Happy Easter!
What a great Easter we had. We went to church Easter morning to a beautiful outdoor mass. After we got home I was able to convince Don to dye Easter eggs with me. It is amazing what you have to re-learn after all those years. It is funny the memories that I had with my brother dying the eggs each year. We took some more pictures of Juliette after the Easter bunny arrived. It is amazing how much she loves the grass. She has really been pulling and trying to eat the grass as well. Happy Easter to everyone.

It is almost Easter...
...and with the coming of Easter comes a wonderful part... Tessa's lamb cakes. Juliette helped make the lambs this morning. She was very excited to try to get to touch the lamb. Dear Daddy does not like Coconut, so that is why the poor lamb is hairless towards its back. This year the lamb has a big pink bow just for Juliette!
Happy Eight Months Old Juliette!!
How can it be? Our baby is eight months old today! Wow, the changes and new developments that you have made are just amazing over the last month. This afternoon when you woke up, Mommy went upstairs and you were not just kneeling with your head over the railing, you were standing on your toes and trying to balance. That was a first! You are not only crawling, but you are racing around the house. You love to look for the dogs and try to pet them before they run away. This past week you are now holding yourself up on pieces of furniture as you can see from the pictures. You giggle all the time and laugh at things that are funny to you. You are still a wonderful sleeper going down around 8:30 and waking up around 7:00 the next morning. We love you, we love you, we love you! A very happy and sweet birthday to you Juliette!

Transition to the high chair
We made the big transition today from eating in the bumbo to eating in the high chair. Mommy put the entire high chair together herself since Daddy had to work. Here are a few pictures tonight not really eating but just enjoying her new seat. She was not too sure of the high chair at first as you can see.

The Flowertown Festival
It is always one of my favorite weekends of the year! Yes, of course it is the Flowertown Festival. Amazingly, Juliette and I made it out there all three days. Daddy was able to join us on Sunday even though he was on call all weekend. I had to introduce him to the Kiwanis' burger. I warned him that I would see everyone and indeed we did. We ran into trusty Ellison, Thomas and Michael and almost had a mini playdate in the middle of the festival. To all my dear friends and family from Summerville it was so great to see everyone. I have vowed that I will not miss again! It makes me realize just how close to my heart Summerville will always be to me.
(By the way, yes, that is Daddy feeding Juliette a pinch of ice cream. Like Father like Daughter)
Thank you too Tessa for smocking such beautiful Easter bunnies. Juliette just loves her bunnies!
