Southern Specialty...

Not so sure about that! Juliette and I went to her friend Alex's birthday party at the ice skating rink. I have done this a few times in my life but quite honestly I feel like a recipe for a disaster! I am able to get around well but just as my comfort level rises, here comes the feeling of a fall straight to the ice! From experience you can watch kids go down and jump up repeatedly! Me going down once and I can feel it for two days!

Juliette is a hoot to watch. At first she wanted to go around once with the walker. All it took was seeing her friend Audrey who was using a walker to hand the walker right over to me. Before I knew it she was skating around the rink waving to her little friend feeling like a hot shot!  Kids are hilarious!

It is so much fun to get to see her wings start to fly! She is persistent like all children and will take a spill and jump up just as fast as she fell down… and this will happen again and again.

Once off the rink and just as the skates came off, "Mommy let's go skiing again…"

Skiing or skating, what's the difference?

Return to the hospital?

Who could possibly want that you ask??

This Dickens right here!

I picked Tripp up from school Thursday and Mrs. Jones asked me, "Oh my goodness, are the twins okay? Tripp told us they went to the hospital…" I was confused and asked Tripp about it and he laughed…

Yesterday he looked at me and said, "I no like my brothers. Take them back to da hospital…"

Dream on little guy! Thomas and Tyler are here to stay!

This is not your ordinary walk

Look Gypsy, "Dere is a dragon…"
Hmmm not sure if she was believing that!

The super man cape, jammie pants and a now way past Christmas shirt that is still one of the favorites!
I turn around and he is convinced he does not even need shoes or socks in January!

A real character on my hands

This guy is such a character! By the time I go in his room to get him up he is questioning if he can wear, "jammies, no long pants, birthday doggie shirt or red pants." This is the everyday! We sit in front of the washer and dryer and negotiate the clothes AND the socks and shoes! He hates to wear a coat and it in light of that can get hysterical when we will not let him leave the house without one on. He tells     me, "I hold it just in case…" I have convinced him it is a superman cape and all big boys wear one! This works maybe 10% of the time.

PS… these are the "red pants" as mentioned above. Poor guy loves his sister's hat - nice bow on the penguin! He is creating for me here a super hero with his favorite thing in his mouth a "lolli"

It was so cold this past week that I had to send Tripp out in Juliette's warm warm coat! Don told me I had to be kidding! When it was 20 degrees out I was not worried about style or boy fashion! He survived in it.

Tripp's special place to touch his brothers is their toes. He LOVES it and thinks that spot is only for him.

He has really become quite the assistant. He has more interest than Juliette does now. Once again, note the Thanksgiving turkey in January… this is ALSO considered red pants!

And sometimes don't we all just want to be the baby?

16 again and again and again

When asked my age I have always told Juliette I am 16. She believes this and thinks that is just great!

Since being pregnant there was a lot of activity I could not do with her like chase.
This weekend she told my mom, "Tessa, I'm so happy Mommy is 16 again! She can play twister, play chase, and wear her pilates clothes…."

Last night she said, "Mommy what happens when you turn 20?"

Hmmmm….

Waiting for the tooth fairy or the nurse or Santa….

Before bed last night we read Silverlicious which is about a little girl loosing a tooth. We also have a Nurse for night help who arrives at 10:00. Juliette thinks that is the coolest that someone is upstairs down the hall at night. She often tries to stay awake for her to arrive but is never successful.

When I went upstairs last night around 10:00 someone decided to make sure that she did not miss the tooth fairy even though she had no tooth for her and has not recently even lost a tooth. She told me she thought reading the book may lead "Toothetina" to her house. But then too she wanted to make sure she saw the nurse and this would definitely wake her up…. Could Santa be coming tonight as well?

Guess…. did she wake up for any of this? Not a chance… her Daddy had to lift her back in her little bed for further sweet dreams!

Looks like "Little Pink Dog" had the royal treatment as she had the pillow and the blankets

And this little guy… after receiving his new sleeping bag from Santa, he won't sleep without being in it in his crib!

Whatever gives these little people a good night's sleep this Mama is good with!

Sweet dreams and happy Friday!

Eat s'mores much?

Well with the cold weather and the big green egg came some good ol'fashion s'mores on the big green egg.

The cold weather kept most of the party in the garage but these little people have no preference - a s'more is as good inside as it is out!

Look who is officially one month old today!

Baby Thomas and Tyler! We are SO happy to have these newest additions to our family!! They are such good babies so far! They are definitely becoming awake a lot more now and will let you know if they are not happy!

Juliette and Tripp continue to love their new brothers. They have interest at some points but then at other times have not much. Usually as they grow a little and develop personalities, the children become more interested in them. Tripp does love to touch their toes! I tried to find a place just for him to touch them and he thinks this is his special spot! He is always asking to touch his toes.

Tripp is still so funny with them! He favorite thing is still… "who's dat? Which one is dat?" Upon telling him which it is he immediately asks where the other is. It is SO cute!

Tripp did not want to miss out and wanted to make sure that their toes were happy...

We have had one month of joy with this family of SIX!

During this cold weather...

We try not to get cabin fever so the tricycle continues to run around the house! How the little girl still fits on the tricycle is beyond me but she does! She got this for her 2nd birthday and still absolutely LOVES it!

The annual cutting of the collards on New Year's Day

And the hopping' johns simmered all day in the pot. Can't beat black eyed peas and collard greens for good luck in the new year. We began the morning with the annual cutting of the collards in my Dad's garden.

Happiest of New Year's to everyone! May 2015 be great!
