The look of guilt...

We had some good friends over for a cookout Sunday evening, Audrey and Juliette are three months apart. We turned our head for one second and look what the girls got into. Juliette "showed" Audrey where the candy stash was and made Audrey do the digging... either way they both had some major loot devoured in five seconds...

They had too much fun together and were TOO cute!

Check out the mouth full on Juliette of the "chocolac bunny"
If I can't see you then there is no possible way that you can see me

Still a baby to me....

Even though Juliette gets bigger each day and CHATTIER by the day, she is still a baby to me when I look at her in her crib. She is in no hurry to be out of her crib and we have been in no hurry to move her to a bed. She has a routine where she enjoys reading to her animals each night before bed in her crib and she enjoys reading to them when she wakes up in the morning. We can here her reading to them from the monitor in our room. It is the cuteste thing ever. She will read to them dor up to 40 minutes without squaking at all to get up. Sometimes, when we go to get her up she tells us that she is not ready yet.

This is Juliette horizontal - her crib is long ways so she is not hanging out I promise :)

Summer fun...

We are feeling that summer is truly here as of this weekend. Today the heat tipped out over 90 degrees and so we celebrated that with an afternoon at the neighborhood pool.

Juliette is taking some real deal swimming lessons this summer with a local famous swim instructor Ms. Viv. The Mommy is the only person allowed there and supposedly she will know how to swim after that one week of lessons each day. She is in the stage of holding on to me for dear life and I swear almost chocking me at the neck. I am looking forward to the lessons - I think that they may be intense but I feel like with a pool right off our porch and an almost three year old she REALLY needs to learn how to swim.

Happy summer to all! I REALLY do love this time of the year!

A beautiful day for the park...

There are few things that Juliette enjoys more now a days than a day at the park. We are lucky that we have several in the neighborhood. However, today we went to Summerville to visit with one of my dear friends from childhood Paula and her little girl Maggie. Juliette not having a shy bone in her body had not seen her in several months and did not remember her but immediately went up to her and gave her a great big hug and you would have thought that they had known each other for years after one minute.

We had SUCH a fun morning and has made for a very long nap this afternoon.

Just a few pictures to share of the fun day....

An updated family picture...

I feel like Don, Juliette and I have not taken a good photo in months. I feel like we finally got one.

My very first ballet recital

We had such a fun afternoon today for Juliette's dance recital. It was at the Wando high school performing arts center and wow did they do a great job! It is so funny when you become a Mom and all of a sudden when you see your child on the stage you get so excited you just want to jump up and instead you just jump to the top of the chair. Both of her Grandparents came for the very special day.

I attached a little video as well of her performance.

My last day of school today...

Just another bittersweet day for Mommy! I find myself finding time flying way too fast for my tastes! I feel like I just dropped Juliette off on her first day of school just yesterday.

She had such a fun day and got to play outside all morning today for the last day. The teachers work on a surprise all year long with pictures that they take of the children. They make a book for us. Of course it brought tears to me eyes as well as the surprise that she made me for Mother's day at school. I have attached a few of the adorable pictures from the book. It is amazing how much she has grown in 9 very short months!

Juliette has had such a wonderful year since starting school. She has become so social and just loves to play with her little friends. Her teachers are just wonderful and we are so lucky that she will have them in the 3k as well.

Happy summer to everyone and we'll be back Christ our King in the fall!

I love this picture - she looks so timid here. This was taken on the playground her first day of school

Painted Toes...

Juliette was most excited yesterday afternoon when Mommy painted her toes. She told me that she looked like a real princess now! Here are the before and after....

Please paint my toes Mommy...

Wow! I really have painted toes!

Mother's Day Weekend!

Wow is it good to be Queen for a weekend! That is just what Juliette, Mom and I did all weekend! We took a long weekend and had a girls' weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. We went to Atlanta for the weekend and lived it up at the Ritz in Buckhead. We had amazing dinners, did some amazing shopping and just enjoyed an all around girls' weekend. Juliette was such a trooper too from the car ride to the shopping and even the restaurants. Saturday evening we stayed in and brought in room service and watched movies all evening. Don was fishing in Utah for the weekend and too had a great time. He had a lot of luck and caught his first ever brown trout in the Green River.

Juliette was so happy when we got to the hotel, "Mommy I see the castle we are now at Disney World!" (sadly she was only seeing a white church steeple)
Yummy Mother's Day dinner
Tuckered out after an amazing day of shopping
It is good to be Queen - I was wondering who was thinking she was the Mother - watching Barney, a grilled cheese and french fries all brought to her in the bed
