Our very young "birder"

So Don is very into birding and he can name almost any species out there. I call him "the bird nerd." Since we have moved into our new house, I cannot tell you the amount of birds that we have. We got bird feeders a few weeks ago and it has been so much fun to watch all of the birds feeding. Juliette is getting double dosage of birding from us and her Doh (my Dad). In the morning they go on a tour in his backyard for birds and squirrels. We sometimes cannot get her in the house due to her excitement of seeing a "birp" as she calls it. She got to help Daddy fill the bird feeders in the backyard today. That was SO very exciting to her. She is a birder in training for sure. Below she is reaching up to the sky pointing to a bird.

It Snowed in Sunny Carolina!

Well this was the first time since 1989 that we got snow like we did last night! What an amazing site. We got about 2 inches here on Daniel Island but Summerville actually received 6 1/2 inches. We work Juliette up to make sure that she was able to play in the snow before it all disappeared. Gypsy and Gracie had never seen snow. They were bouncing around and having a great time trying to sniff everything out.

And yes.... very quickly it became a wonderful memory.... the snow was gone within a few hours!

Trip to Summerville and the fire station

We spent the afternoon with Ms. Amy and Olivia and Lucas. We even got to go and visit Mr. Will at the fire station. Juliette loved being with the big boy and girl. She could have played with them all day. They wore her out as she was out like a light immediately when we got in the car.

18 Months Old

Well in a way it seems like yesterday since you were born. You have grown into a little miniature girl over the past few months. You have become so very interactive. We have begun to take you to the nursery over the past month or so at church and you have been doing great. You have two best friends - Emmerson and George.

What a personality you are developing. You have become quite particular on when and if you want your diaper changed. We have been working on the potty but your favorite thing to do while sitting is to make the sound "ssssss" with your mouth because you know that is the sound that you should be making but not with your mouth. We will just keep working on it. You have a definite favorite pair of shoes - they are red leather shoes. You insist on wearing them with everything. Mommy has had to hide them on occasion so that you will forget that they are around.

This past weekend you decided that you no longer want to sit in the high chair. You are ready for a big girl chair. Mommy found a little lion booster seat which straps into the chair. You love sitting with Mommy and Daddy on the same kind of chairs that they sit on.

You continue to talk and say new words. Today's new word was "hallo". It is always so exciting the first time that you say a new word.

Oh yes and yu are enjoying "mothering" the dogs as well. You heard Mommy say "No Gypsy" and five minutes later I turn around see you tapping Gypsy nose and saying "no..no..no.."

We love you precious baby! Happy 18 months old!
