Someone turned 2 today!

We had quite the special day today! My precious baby boy who has completely stolen my heart turned two today! We had a "Mi-ckey bir-day" because that is all we have been hearing over the past several weeks! Tripp could not have been more thrilled with the gathering at the house complete with one very big Mickey balloon!

Tripp celebrated his birthday in style with a 35 year old outfit that was his Ul'Nanny's! It was SO much fun putting him into the same outfit and looking so precious in it!

Of course does it look like he licked his fingers clean?? You bet!

Pulling out the birthday flag for the big day of celebrations!

Trippy and Tessa!

At two Tripp has become quite the jokester! Any any given minute asked what he wants to eat he will answer "po-pie." If given the choice this is what he would eat every day. Yes this includes a potpie, macaroni and cheese, "Baby yogurt" as he calls it, ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry on top! Do you blame him?

We went for our two year old well baby checkup and let me tell you… if the twos are like today I am in for it! Everything I asked of Tripp, he did the opposite and would laugh! This is the worst! Here he is licking the window of the most germ infested place in the world… a Pediatrician's office! He loves to play games and when he knows I will react… well you know!

"Trippy come sit down with Mommy…." and where is he? Turning on and off the lights and back on again… with a quite sporty outfit I would add...

Once again, "Trippy come sit by Mommy…" He looks at me and laughs… "Trippy now don't open the door…"

and he smiles some more….

And…. well you guessed it! Out of the waiting room he flies!

Here's to two… he will keep us all on our toes!

Our Valentine's Delights

Another very special Valentine's day with those I love the most!

Juliette worked so hard on her Valentine's day cards to all of her classmates!

Then we thought what a great idea would it be to make cupcakes! Look at her Daddy with his icing skills! The baker has some evidence on her cheeks of some serious taste testing!

And perfection! Ready for the eating!

A Happy Valentine's day to all!

"The Magical Me"

Juliette was SO excited to celebrate the week of "Juliette, the Magical Me" at school! She got to bring in two special items and two special books that the teacher would read to the class. Her class got to learn all about her!

Arriving home from school with the life size drawing paper in hand and celebrating with a special puppy dog hat she made a school!

We began with drawing a life-size drawing of her...

Then we really got creative! Her Daddy even drew a real stomach in there showing what her favorite foods are. The heart includes some of her favorite people, there is a rainbow loo that she made on her wrist, her hair is made out of leaves and her shoes are ballet slippers and the skirt is her favorite kind of skirt that Tessa designs for her.

"A sock and a croc"

Traditionally what do little boys wear for shoes in the winter I ask? Of course, little boots or any warm closed toes shoes… why do I ask? Because the little boy that I have in this house will only wear one pair of shoes… actually do Crocs even count as shoes? My Mom and I were in Myrtle Beach in the outlets labor day weekend and just happened to pick up some crocs for Tripp with Mickey pins on them… let's just say that he wears these shoes almost every day and will cry if we do not put them on him.

When he wakes up and we are on the way down the stairs he calls for "Mickeys"

Yes my friends these are the precious "Mickeys"… the poor "Mickeys" are so worn out that they each only have one ear left to them… gotta love the sock and croc look!

Sitting at a stop light I had to capture my precious view that I have through my rear view mirror each afternoon! A good Southern baby needs a hat made for Russia to survive the cold snap that we have had over the last week!

I get this picture at work from my Mom… he looks quite innovative at a young age - standing on "Bucky" trying to learn how to unlock the deadbolt… there is simply no stopping this baby boy! Difference between a girl and a boy - you can not take your eye off this baby boy for one second!

I also noticed like Father like Son… Tripp has what I call on Dono "a wing"… I turned around to see Tripp's first wing growing off the side of his head!

An ice storm in Charleston

Yes, you are hearing right! We had a full blown ice storm here in Charleston! We woke up Wednesday morning in great anticipation of snow and looked out the window to find pure ice! School was canceled, bridges were closed and no one was going anywhere. We enjoyed a day of simply hanging out in the house. The weather was freezing and there was really nothing even to play in outside. Juliette found one treasure that afternoon - an icicle to suck on!

And there is nothing more exciting that a surprise snow day which means a day to play with Tessa and Doh for the day!

Juliette and her "Tessa"… it was SO cold that Big Dog even needed to get dressed to brave out the chilly conditions...

Doh runs the famous "Cartoon Club" as Juliette calls it! The little monkeys can't get enough of Doh and Mickey!

Juliette made her first sewing project as well! I was so excited to get a pom pom that she created...

And a mermaid that she made out of the drumstick cone! The cold can bring on some great creativity!
