"If I were on the Mayflower coming to America in 1620..."
I would bring "Auntie Toni to pray for me, pink blankie, and a picture of my family..."
Hence Juliette also requested to bring Mommy's phone so she could play on it during the boat ride...

Baby clothes that make Mommy feel like she still has a baby...
Don makes fun of me all the time and tells me that our poor child looks like he belongs in the orphanage when I still dress him in this size 6-12 month outfit... I beg to differ! He looks like a baby still to me even though the pants are officially "capris"! I was not planning on stopping at the park on this particular day because he mostly wears them to bed but we stopped anyway. A lady there even commented on how cute he looked! So I will keep this outfit on him possibly until the "capris" become shorts... you never know!

5 Year old well visit
Juliette has developed a severe aversion to the Doctor's office. She IS officially terrified of shots and would do just about anything to get out of them. I went to pick her up from school yesterday and she quickly remembered the appointment we had. There was a possibility of a shot and I did tell her so that she would not be surprised. Well, we walked into the office with Tripp and the questions, the wining and the tears all started at the same time. The Doctor took one look at her and said there was no way she would put her through a shot - she was afraid the poor baby's blood pressure would be through the roof.
Well, once she trusted that there would be no shot, she became very happy and answered all of the Doctor's questions with great excitement. Some I had to laugh at her answers...
The Doctor, "Juliette what would you do if there was a fire in your home..."
Juliette, "Well at school we learned to just run to the door, you don't have to get in a line you just run to the door..."
The Doctor, "And what would you do at home..."
Juliette, "I would run out the door.... but maybe I would pack my animals in my suitcase and grab pink blankie..."
Mommy, "Wouldn't you just run out the door? There would be no time for your animals right?"
Juliette, "Well I guess then I will pack them each night in the suitcase so when the fire comes they will all be ready!"
The Doctor, "Juliette what are your favorite foods?"
Juliette, "pasta, noodles, steak and dessert"
The Doctor, "Juliette do you like having a brother?"
Juliette, "Yes, I love my baby brother Trippy, he is the best baby brother in the whole world and he thinks I am the best big sister in the whole world!"
Juliette is 98th percentile in height so she is still very tall for her age. We survived the appointment and give thanks for a perfectly happy healthy little girl!

Fall days mean the FAIR has arrived...
Can I say I love the fair?? I love the people watching, the food, the fun, the lights, running into old friends, and most of all... I love the excitement in Juliette's eyes every year when it comes around! This year we hit the fair three times! We only live once and our babies grow so fast! She is at the perfect age and enjoys every piece of it so why not celebrate more that once! That's my philosophy at least!
This year Juliette was in awe of the mechanical bull! Yes, she even got to ride it as well!
Still one of her favorite rides in the kiddie area! The Frog Hopper...
Look at the excitement on this little guy's face... he wanted to ride everything and was still just a little too young. Next year though boy will he have fun!
We had SO much fun with Tessa the second day...
Trippy was fascinated with the motorcycles.... he cannot wait until next year when he can ride them!
But even though he could not ride he won a ball at the duck pond booth... he was thrilled!
Kisses from the pony that so graciously let her ride...

Kindergarten All Saints day Parade
Juliette was ready for the Kindergarten All Saints Day Parade at school. She was Saint Maria Goretti who she could tell you was from Italy. She went with my Bathrobe, some palms that we cut down, a piece of rope from the garage and my lamb, Lambica, from when I was little...
