"Pop Star" camp
What a FUN week of camp this has been! We have been ready for another week of Princess of Tides camp. The theme this week is "Pop Star". They are singing into microphones every day and dancing away.
Danette is OH SO SPECAL to me!
Tessa and Juliette picked out a special "Pop Star" outfit for the big week... is she flashy or something else??

Meeting Dorthea Benton Frank
I had the opportunity to bid at Juliette's school's annual fundraiser for the next character in her book and a dinner out with her and six friends! Well the book is out and it has been SO much fun to read. Danette Stovall in the book is a super cool lady who comes out on top! I found out that she was going to be signing books at Costco here in Charleston so Mom, the kids and me took our books and headed over there. There was a long line and when I got up to her Juliette handed her the book and she greeted us. She began to talk to us and I looked at her and said, "I am Danette Stovall" She jumped out of her chair as she had no idea what I even looked at. The first thing she said to me is "I am so tired of writing your name." She was SO much fun and we got some pictures and talked for a good ten minutes. She apologized to the line and let them know that it would be a few minutes - you were looking at one of the main characters in her book!

An evening at Outback
Juliette had quite an "adventurous" day shall we say - she ran full speed to jump on her horse in the house and ran into the handlebars - that put a nice cut at the top of her forehead... Don was able to intervene so we did not need a stitch in the end which was excellent. To celebrate no needles and no stitches needed we headed to the Outback!
The incident wore her out as this was my baby in my lap - sound asleep!
She did not even make it out of the Outback with shoes on - she was so worn out!

A super fun mini-vacation!
We had a super fun mini-vacation - Don and his Dad went fishing in Utah and Mom and I took the kiddos to NC. It was a blast and the weather could not have been more beautiful. Of course traveling with Juliette and Tripp leads to no boring moments...
Juliette and Tripp are content to order room service each night and watch a good movie - what could be better?
Oops, sorry Sissy but those fries look really good!
A good wear out on a very busy day
Tessa giving Tripp a little sink bath
"So this cooler looks very tempting..."
"Hmmm now I am in... what do I do?"
"Fuss until someone hears me and decides to come and get me..."
These were just a few of the funny things since we only had a few toys
Juliette found quite a tame rooster who even let her pet her
My Cousin Andrew cheering on the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup...
So excited to be back home and see Doh! First thing she did when we dropped Tessa off is run into the garden and pick blueberries for herself.
These were neat little ornamentals for the garden that we got Don for Father's Day. We thought it would be a very nice memory of the trip.

Tripp's Baptismal day
We had such a special day today celebrating Tripp's Baptism. There were three babies who were Baptized after Mass and the ceremony was so nice. Msgr Carter celebrated the Baptism and really worked well with all of the parents. Tripp of course did not want to be held at all. he only wanted to run around the church. There was another walker being Baptized and she was the same. Finally I pulled out some treats and fed them to him to keep him still and quiet.
Msgr announced at the end that we had a wild group of new Christians today. It was very cute and a very meaningful day. After a party at the house, we enjoyed relishing in the day that Tripp became a Baptized member of the Church.
