"You could field your own football team..."

I always remember hearing as kid... "that family could field their own football team..."

Well today we kind of followed that path.

Tripp had his first basketball practice today. It was adorable and he was thrilled to try his hand in the new game.

Quickly after the practice and after the basketball hoop was up there was all out excitement! If there is one thing twins learn from having two older siblings... they want in the game too! They may have to push themselves in there but they'll get themselves in the game!

Each member of the team brings a unique aspect to the game.

  • Thomas on the left is happy with the ball. He wants to hold that ball, run with that ball and when one of the others takes the ball he brings on the tears...
  • Tyler is happy and go lucky.... he'll gladly get the ball out of the bushes or run fast and far to help his brothers and sister out. Someone takes the ball - no worries, he'll chase right after you and when tired will quickly move onto another exciting toy
  • Juliette... well she can best be described as the referee... depending on if she is in the mood to play naughty or nice she can be a very sweet addition or she can be the mean boss. Trust me she enjoys being the oldest and the only girl....
  • Tripp... and here is the basketball player! He is working hard.... working hard on not "fusspussing".... we are working on persistence and a positive attitude when the ball "is just not my friend..." as he loves to tell us.

And when one member of the team needs a little cheering up, there is always another member ready to give out that extra hug and kiss to make everything better!

Which snowman is Tripp's?

The lucky "lefty" likes to be a little different....

Why not let everyone know who the budding artist is... So he likes his name on the front

An annual tradition

As always our ringing in the new year was super special! We were able to celebrate with Don's entire family! That seldom happens when everyone could be there at the same time... this year it did. Madeleine and Owen were even in town from college. That still is hard to believe to me that they are in college.

The cousins were all so cute together. Juliette was thrilled to be with all of them.

Mima and Grandpa and all of their grandchildren.

The weekend began in a most special way! I got word that one of my closest and dearest friends from Wofford had just moved from NYC and relocated to Beaufort. I was able to get in touch with her and after 17 years saw her! She was not only a best friend but my Kappa Delta Big Sister. My heart could not have been happier. We both shed a happy tear or two! It is those few people in life where it can be 17 years and you can pick up like you were just together yesterday.

Whitney joined us the next day for the oyster roast and met the little ones and the whole family.

It was a superb weekend!

"Grandpa can you tie my shoe please?"

This little boy was ready to eat!

These fishermen would never lie.... or at least none would admit to it 😜!

Juliette's favorite thing to do with Madeleine is work with her hair! The weather may have been 70 degrees but there was still just enough chill for an early day bonfire.

Will and Owen challenged each other to the pie face game. Looks like Owen was the winner! Will got creamed with whipped cream.

May 2017 be as fantastic as was 2016. Greetings from all of us. May your 2017 be filled with happiness and success.
