The Tooth Fairy saves the day

Well we lost a tooth but there was one small problem, Juliette insisted on bringing the tooth to my parents' house and she lost the tooth there. She was quite upset and I assured her that maybe if she wrote the Tooth Fairy and explained her situation, maybe she could help.

Juliette asked her Daddy to write the letter and she signed it. She realized she "mased up" and needed to cross her original signature out.

Something brilliant came to my head… I pulled out the tooth fairy pillow from our dear Ms. Cynthia and low and behold there was the tooth from last time still in there.

Juliette was SHOCKED when she woke up the next morning and realized that the tooth fairy was able to sneak into Tessa and Doh's house and find the missing tooth. "Tooth Fairy Dienta is amazing Mommy! I love her!"

Juliette reminded he how much she loved bacon today and look what the fairy over heard… she brought her $1 and a bacon candy necklace…

Thank you Dienta for your wonderful kindness!

Clydesdale horses come to Daniel Island

They were so beautiful and their prance was so majestic. The Dalmatian puppy was even on the carriage. It drew quite a crowd and we are so happy that we were able to catch them in person.

Juliette was sure to ask/confirm that her horse one day would look just as beautiful as those horses…

A weekend full of love and glitz!

We had a very special weekend… oh was it special! It was a girls' weekend to celebrate the wedding of my sweet cousin Meghan and her fiancee Mike in NYC. My Mom, Juliette and I went. It was COLD but the sun came out just on the right day for the wedding.

I walked into my bathroom right before we were about to leave and I find her in her little girl makeup…. "Mommy, we must be fancy on our way to New York City…"

We were ready to go! She is at the perfect age to travel with. She can pull her own luggage, walk for long distances and take care of herself… somehow when we travel she is hungry constantly. I know it is because food is all around her and it all looks so fun!

Our first morning we had a special breakfast with my Mom's cousins Mary Ellen and Ann Marie from Chicago. It is always so special to spend time with them. Rounds of coffee and hot chocolate for the little lady please.

Isabella was in tow and ready for the American Girl store.

We couldn't get to the store without a morning stop at the bakery. WAY too many choices for a girl who LOVES the sweets.

So we get to the store and of course I'm a sucker…. Juliette loved Grace and begged for her. I looked at my Mom and my Mom looked at me… "Well this is my only girl and she is at the perfect age and loves her dolls so why not…"

So we added a doll to the family, by the cap you can see that Grace is French. Juliette of course got the matching outfit and wore it to the rehearsal dinner that evening,

She could not get enough of my cousins, Andrew and Matthew.

And of course when Juliette meets someone new associated with extended family or friends, they instantly become her cousins. Mike, the fiancee had his precious three nieces at the wedding weekend as well. Juliette loved them of course and couldn't get enough of them!

Only Grace came to the rehearsal dinner but the girls all decided that they would have a doll party at the wedding and they would each bring their doll.

Juliette and my Uncle Jimmy

We went all out and hit the spa for a hair do and some makeup… who was MOST into it - this one! Her eyes were half the size of her head she was SO excited! She is SO into watching me put makeup on and begs for me to put something on her. Well I let her get makeup for the weekend and there was nothing that Juliette did not want on.

The wedding was gorgeous and the Bride and Groom were so happy!

Her God Father and my Uncle Dave and his Son-in-Law Brian taught Juliette how to order her first cocktail. "Sprite with cherry juice on the rocks please…"

Yes, here at the reception your wish becomes my command as the bar tender told her. She looks way too comfortable sitting up at a bar on a stool….

The excitement of a picture with the Bride!

Uncle Brian danced and danced with her!

Even the dolls got to dance….

and pose for a picture.

We had some technical difficulties with the dress…nothing Aunt Danielle (my Mom) couldn't fix with some thread and a needle

And this was her four minutes from the flight landing back in Charleston…. she is going….

and going… with two minutes from landing...

and as we sit on the runway ready to de-plane she's gone….

Night night and sweet dreams!
All the best to the lovely Bride and Groom!

Easter weekend

Easter weekend was a beautiful weekend filled with exciting activities for the kids. We went for the annual Easter party at the Club. The bunny was waiting for the kids. Tripp was confused and thought that he needed to tell the Bunny what toys he would like from him.

The animals were there again this year. Juliette was so into the miniature pony, she did not leave him. She let the other children come and pet the pony and since she now feels older, told them her name and all about what she likes to eat and what she does not like to eat. It was SO cute!

"Mommy, here's another Buckwheat"

The children were all ready for the bunny. Juliette made sure we had carrots to leave for the bunny. She was concerned that the babies did not yet have baskets so she letf a special paper towel from each twin with their names, a big heart and carrots from each one. The carrots were carefully placed her both of the baskets as well.

We had a wonderful Easter dinner at my parent's house. We were so happy that Adi and Gustavo could  join us as well! Of course Adi could not resist some love from Thomas.

No one can make Tripp boy laugh like his Daddy!

Juliette was so happy just to be at Tessa and Doh's house for the holiday. She was even more excited when she found out the Easter bunny left some eggs for a hunt around the house.

The bunny apparently ran out of candy so instead left some coins in the eggs. Since we are learning how to count coins, this became especially exciting!

Happy Happy Easter!
