Disney - whoot whoot!

What a trip indeed to the magic kingdom! It is such a magical place especially with children. Juliette and Tripp had a fabulous time. Juliette will remember it for sure and though Tripp will not, to watch his expressions on the rides and when Mickey came by were priceless.

We were in the parks for three days. We did the Magic Kingdom twice and then spent one day at Animal Kingdom. We managed to sneak back to the resort late in the afternoon to take a nap and get ready for the evenings.

I did not take my good camera because of the size and I am sorry I did not. The picture quality is minimal when I am used to the quality of my good camera. Anyway, regardless of the quality they depict the enjoyment that we had together on our adventure!

Our first introduction to Winnie the Pooh!

Princess Juliette with Alice in Wonderland

Welcome to the Park!

Tripp LOVED the carousel ride. He was giggling every time the horsie rose and fell

Look at Tripp checking out Mickey! He about cocked his neck 180 degrees to check him out!

Our resort the Grand Floridian

Mommy, Juliette, Trippy and Piglet

The excitement of all being together at Disney!

One of the highlights for Tripp - walking around the hotel with the remote. He did not want to give that up at all... hmmm... who does he get this from?

Juliette enjoying the Aladdin magic carpet ride

Final dinner... ice cream anyone? How about ice cream, with mickey mouse sprinkles, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry on top...

Exhausted and asleep in the middle of the Kingdom on a bench... look closely because I can guarantee I have only seen this happen once since she was born!

I mean the castle is just beautiful... even as an adult it is so magical and enchanting

It took a lot to knock Trippy out in the park... his eyes were WIDE until they could not stay open anymore. I can't believe how long he is at 14 months old...

Baby feet and shoes... nothing cuter

His Sissy takes such good care of him. Taking a quick break and Juliette is giving Tripp water to drink.

When asked what her favorite part of the trip was I have gotten two different responses - the first was the princess shoes and pen that she got to pick out and asked about all day until we went back to the Castle Couture... today when asked, the best part of the trip was staying in the hotel...

Hmmm... well at least we know she had a wonderful time!

A special visit from Ann Marie and Mary Ellen

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Aunt Mary Ellen and Aunt Ann Marie. Our trip would not be complete without some very special baking... and very special baking is just what we did. We were preparing for Juliette's special birthday celebration at school. She requested to make cake pops. We not only made cake pops but also made red velvet cupcakes. Juliette learned about piping and frosting. She took it quiet seriously... well the adults, we enjoyed watching Juliette and assisting on a beautiful day outside with a sangria margarita in hand.

"Now this is how we start" says Juliette

"And I will help you tie yours on..." "Did you know this is what Betty Crocker says to do?"

Very seriously cracking the eggs...

"baking and eating..."

Someone is guilty of several good licks of batter...

As we baked Aunt Ann Marie held on tight to Trippy!

Thanks for the wonderful visit and time spent together! We miss y'all and can't wait for a visit soon.

4K = FUN FUN FUN

Juliette has had SO much fun learning and playing in the 4K. Mrs. Kraft and Ms Hailey have been just incredible! We get pictures almost daily and long emails of what the children have been doing and learning about that week. Here are a few recent pictures:

Juliette's favorite activity is playing with her best friend Marielle in the sand each day...

Last week was "what I would like to be when I grow up" day. Juliette was very direct in letting me know "Mommy, when I grow up I would like to be a horse rider... I would like to ride horses and unicorns as a grown up." So that is just what we were - a "horse rider". Other outfits included a hippy, a Mommy, a baseball player, a karate master, a police man, ballerina and a detective...

The next day Ms. Hailey who is getting married brought in her wedding dress to show the class. She had a picture taken with all of her special flower girls of the day. Juliette was in awe and did not want to stop talking about the dress. Of course with all of the talk about Miss Hailey getting married brought the question that evening of "Mommy, why do girls marry boys and not girls?" The girl always keeps you on your toes!

Friday was nursery rhyme day. Each of the children were a different nursery rhyme. Juliette was Mary Mary quite contrary. She is holding her watering can "to make her flowers grow"

Abigail's 2nd birthday

We took a road trip to Columbia for Abigail Mace's 2nd birthday. What a fun day that was! Elizabeth and I grew up together and she was one of my best friends when we were little and still is today. It was such a SPECIAL day.

We began the morning with a birthday breakfast at Elizabeth's house

Juliette played so nicely with Abigail and let her lead her around anywhere she wanted to take her

We ended the party at the Edventure in Columbia. What a fabulous Children's place. Juliette tried her hand at milking the cow... she enjoyed that and tried it several times.

She and Tessa then went grocery shopping. Check out the products in her cart: 4 boxes of cake mix, a cherry pie, milk and butter - looks like this girl has plenty of baking on her mind!

They had a wonderful reading area with lots of books to choose from

What a super fun and special day and a VERY happy birthday to my God Daughter Abigail Mace! We love you!

Shad fishing in the Tail Race canal

I had my first experience shad fishing and that was surely fun! The shad make their annual run from the ocean all the way up to the end of the Cooper River where they spawn and then die. We had such a fun day beginning with a Bojangle's bo-berry biscuit, friend chicken and some beer! Now that is what I call a perfect day!

Fun times in Summerville

It is truly one of my favorite weekends of the whole year - it is the weekend of the Flowertown Festival in Summerville. We went up for fun both Friday and Saturday and just could not get enough of it. It is the reunion of reunions when it comes to old school best friends! Juliette has so much fun as well with the daughters of Mommy's besties!

Maggie Twigg and Juliette

Juliette could not have been happier to see Ellison and Thomas Tyler. We have not seen them as much since they moved to Manning but oh what a treat it was! Thomas still remembers the night at the Mexican restaurant when Juliette could not stop kissing him! Oh boy - we are going to have our hands full that is for sure!

Juliette with Aldret and Lily May Crosby

Don got his birthday present a little bit early. This is so gorgeous. The red fish and the trout are stamped on and the artist even included the real weeds that were brought up when he caught both of these fish. This is Don with the artist who is out of Tallahassee, FL. Don was thrilled and I am too to have found a very special gift for him!

Mommy and her babies! This was Trippy's first ride on the merry go round! He was SO excited! Every time the merry go round would go up or down he would squeal and his little legs would just grip tighter the horsie. He LOVED every minute of it. Juliette the old pro assured me that it would be very unnecessary to hold on to her during the ride.
