4 months old today

Tripp is four months old today! He continues to grow and grow and grow. He has 4 month check up next week so I don't have his measurements yet. He is smiling all the time now and even trying to begin to laugh. That is always such a funny noise but soon he will bolt out a little laugh.

He is still sleeping through the night beautifully and remains in his cradle in our bedroom. I have been in no rush to bring him upstairs. Since he sleeps 12 hours at night, he has not wanted to sleep much at all during the day. We laugh that we swear he thinks he'll miss out on something if he falls asleep.

Since it is summer time we have been staying cool by swimming in the pool all the time. Evenings have been so pleasant and the true heat had not really hit yet until about three days ago. Now we are heading well into the 90's. Evenings spent swimming make for an exhausted little girl and lots of fun times!

I dream of mermaids

Our new fascination is mermaids. After princess camp this past week, the hot doll item and big girl item were the "mermaid tails." Juliette has not taken this outfit off all weekend. It is so precious on her and I so enjoy watching her prance all over the house with it on. She is so all girl and I cannot get enough of it! Their imaginations at this age are just out of this world!

Ju has an obsession with belly buttons.... Barney taught her about belly button years ago

Princess Camp

Juliette had her first day of Princess summer camp this morning. It was SO precious! It is American Girl doll camp. Juliette brought her American girl which was mine that my Mom had gotten me. It is the American girl that is made of your features. Her name is the cutest thing - Juliette calls her "Ms Danette." I just crack up every time she says her name. She even went night night with "Ms Danette" tonight. She will have this little summer camp all week.

Summertime means hard work in the garden

When I got home from work today, Juliette was hard at work EATING in Doh's garden. She ate three tomatoes off the vine and ate an entire handful of blueberries... her rule for the blueberries... "One for me, one for the birds, one for me, one for the birds...."

oh and PS - "Mommy, the birds are not scared of my witch hat..."

A reunion of sorts

Juliette and I had so much fun with a play date with one of my very best friends from childhood Tiffany. her little Grace is Juliette's age. They came over and played in the pool and boy did we all have a great time!

Tiffany and I crack up how they remind us of us when we were young. They both look so much like us and so it really does bring us back to the days. I feel like I am looking at a little Tiffany whenever we are together!

The Daniel Island Rotary duck race

Each year the Daniel Island rotary club puts on a fundraiser in which individuals buy ducks. 25,000 ducks are dumped off the top of the Wando bridge and they float about a half mile to the finish line. The winning duck wins $10,000 dollars.

My Dad volunteered to pick up some of the wandering ducks in the Wando. Dad, Don and Juliette had a festival! They originally thought there would be maybe a couple of ducks to pick up... well there were actually hundreds that they were able to pick up. Juliette loved every minute of it!
