Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas to all! We had a very nice Christmas. We were in town and Santa for sure stopped to see Juliette. Juliette did get her picture taken with Santa as well this year. She went with Lily May Crosby. She did not cry at all and actually smiled for Santa. This year Juliette's favorite part of presents was unwrapping them. She really kind of got into tha with help from us.

Juliette is in her first fashion show - well sort of...
The Lowcountry Smocking Guild had their annual fashion show. Juliette wore her Christmas dress smocked by her Tessa. We managed to make it down the aisle. Funny enough she rarely spits up. Well we arrive at the show with the dress on and she begins to spit up - not once, not twice but three times. The poor dress! We ran to the bathroom and just used some water to fix the dress. No one was able to notice. She was a little Princess letting the ladies look at her dress.

Juliette has a play date
Juliette had a wonderful afternoon with her three dear little friends Thomas, Ellison Ann, and Michael. Juliette had her first close encounter to a little boy and enjoyed playing. Michael is six months old so he wanted to touch her face and really play. Juliette was a little bit jealous having to watch Michael crawl around. She is now trying harder and harder to lift her little fanny and crawl. Thanks for a great afternoon Mom, Sally, Lee and Mrs. Davis.

Thanksgiving 2008
Once again this year we had so much to all be thankful for! We had family and friends from near and far. The Stovall's and Mendini's all got together. Family and friends included Maxine and Don, Mary Ellen, Jim and Ann Marie from Dekalb, IL, and last but for sure not least my Grandpa Bud. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving to remember.

Juliette meets her Great Aunt Maxine and Don
Maxine and Don traveled great distance to come and visit SC. We had a wonderful visit with them. We're so glad that we all got to spend some together. It gave us too an opportunity to go on a carriage tour - something we have not done in years. Thanks Don for the wonderful pictures that you took while you were here... compliments to the photographer.

Anything is tasty...
Anything is tasty now... Juliette loves to suck on anything! Her favorite though is all of her fingers together. She tries to jam all of her fingers in her mouth at the same time. She has not found her thumb or will not take a pacifier at all but she loves all of the fingers! The Baby Bjorn has been a life saver. I can cook and run around the house with that on. She LOVES to be held ALL of the time! Her fussy time is definitely in the evening. She is the happiest in the beginning of the day and during the day. She gets tired by the end of the day and then often fussy. She still though is a very easy and happy baby!

1st Day of very cold weather
Juliette is just like her mother in that she hates to wear coats and hats. I could not resist the picture in her most unhappy state. She did not want the coat or hat on. She has also hit a new stage where she cries when you put her in the car seat. She used to immediately fall asleep when we began to drive but not anymore. It can make for a not so pleasant car ride.

Happy Three Months Old Juliette!
It is hard to believe that Juliette is 3 months old today. Each day she continues to become more and more fun. She is now smiling regularly and is even beginning to include a noise like a laugh when you really get her smiling. She responds to noises you make as well and that can trigger a smile and laugh. She began using her bumbo to sit in. She has been sleeping through the night since 7 weeks. We put her down around 9:30 and she wakes up at excatly 6:00 AM. I feel so rested you can not even imagine. She got her first set of vaccinations and took them like a champ. There was a loud scream and cry but lasted only a minute or two. She also loves her tummy time play set and lies there very amused looking in the mirror above her and listening to sounds.
