Pinch me please with this beautiful weather...

The babies favorite place is OUTSIDE! With this weather we just cannot be in the house. We open the back doors to the screened in porch and just play!

With play comes their bossy brother who is demonstrating that he is in charge by hogging the goldfish in the bowl. These sweet boys will make sure they get some of those goldfish though. With smiles and some reaching Tripp relents and shares those goldfish.

Life as a big Sister...

She wears many hats and she seems to wear them all well.... or we'll say most of the time!

Juliette is the mother hen of her favorite rabbit... there is no one like Buckwheat. With the beautiful weather came a beautiful new idea from Doh. So Juliette and Buckwheat can both enjoy the grass without him running away, they simply move the top of the cage to the grass. Buckwheat and Peter Rabbit are both getting quite excited with the abundance of greens growing right behind them. The garden is looking beautiful!

She loves to hen her brother around. She also really LOVES to play with him!

They are about to take off in their homemade rocket ship!

Tripp: "Ju-iette da rocket ship is going to take us to Patrick's house..."

Juliette: "Tripp that's ridiculous... the rocket ship can only take us to the moon"

Tripp: "No No... Patrick lives on the Moon..."

She also loves to play with her baby brothers. Thomas came to dance with us and Juliette danced right out the ballet studio with him in her arms!

She dances through the house... in her new fancy clothes mind you...

She dances more as she stretches...

She dances while I bun her hair...

It's hard to get her to sit still to work on her handwriting homework. What is her favorite subject you ask? Handwriting of course!

And when she is not dancing, she is busy with her imagination!

She is our one and only Super Girl!

Her first piano evaluation

The girl was ready for her first piano performance. It was not a recital but a little evaluation with another local piano teacher in the area. It was at Charleston Southern University and she was excited. She practiced that morning and felt confident in the two songs that she would be performing from memory.

The songs were... "Willie and Tillie" and "Horse Sense"

And this look below is the best...

"Mommy, this is my serious look that I am going to do when I am playing..."

Move out of the way...

And what happens on their 15 month birthday?

These two little guys are on the move and walking!

It is SO exciting to see them walk. Most get scared of this brave new world but I love it. It helps them be a little more independent when they can get where they want a little more easily. They are SO happy with this new walking adventure and they are surely proud of themselves. 

Both babies LOVE to play outside. With the beautiful weather I open the back screen porch up from the house and we play for hours on the screen porch. They love the noises of the birds and just the whole open world outside. 

They are both still excellent sleepers! They still do not sleep in the same room together. I have not been brave enough to change that yet. They go down around 7:00 PM and Tyler begins to talk around 6:30 the next morning. Thomas will sleep until around 7:30 unless he hears his brother. Here Thomas is playing with Ul'Nanny's quilt as a kid in his crib.

...but most of all... they are BUSY! Tyler is a climber and he is into EVERYTHING!  Tyler is also a biter. I have never had a biter so you have to watch him all the time. If he does not get his way with Thomas, he will try to bite him. They try to open all the cabinets and pull out all the toys. 

Winner is the twin that makes the bigger mess!

They are the sweetest most lovable little guys! Each day with them is an adventure. 

My artist at work

It's no secret that Juliette enjoys art. She loves to paint, draw and color.  She looks forward to art class every week! I LOVE when her art work comes home. I LOVE even more to frame them for everyone's enjoyment. It not only makes her feel special but continues to inspire her and her creative mind with new ideas.

So tonight we went to Michael's and the artist decided how she would like some of her pieces framed! She was in awe of all of the choices that she had. We hemmed and hawed... and then hemmed and hawed some more.

So after much thought she decided on a frame. 

When they were completed she was SO excited to open them!

I am not sure there is anything I would rather hang than a child's piece of art.

Tripp even got his first piece of art framed for his bedroom! Look at those little finger prints as the face of the pumpkin. This was one of his first painting projects in the 2K. He laughed when he saw it framed and that the green stem was silly!

The final piece I surprised Juliette with was her class project for the school Gala. Parents got to bid on the item. I was determined to win it as it was SO precious and she has such a special class to remember. Each of the fingerprints are of her classmates. The picture below is her class and teacher and it is a key of which color fingerprint belongs to which child. It was unframed when we won the item so I had it all framed for her room.

Juliette was so surprised she almost cried when she saw it. 

She reminded me of how special children are and how important it is to make them feel loved and special. 

It made a Mama's heart feel so full inside today!

What's wrong with this picture?

It's 9:00 in the evening and there is no Juliette. I tucked her into her bed around 7:30 and came to check on her... no where to be found...

Upon closer look she is all curled up in the port-a-crib that Tyler naps in during the day. Now, let's just say it was not possible that this could be comfortable. I wake her up and put her back in her bed...

Once again, "Good night and Sweet Dreams..."

Coming to wake her up in the morning for school and I find her in the middle of the hall on the floor. Again, how can this be comfortable?

Her words, "Mommy I sleep best on the floor over any where else..."

And I just shake my head...
