A Mommy and Daughter day at the park

Today was such a beautiful day outside so after I picked Juliette up from school today I decided to make a surprise trip to the park. We went to Alhambra Hall one in which she had never been to before. She enjoyed every minute of it and I love to watch her interact with other children. She made a pretend pumpkin pie, taught school to all of her little classmates and crossed the monkey bars (with my help on her little legs). She is so proud of herself and thinks that she is just such a big girl around the other children.

"Mommy, please pay attention I am teaching you and my class."

Look at that look of satisfaction....

AND determination!

Plantation Days at Middleton Plantation

Today was such a beautiful crisp November day! I love the Lowcountry. You can wake up to 39 degree weather with the sun shining bright and by mid-afternoon it can be a gorgeous 65 degrees. That is what today was. We took the kids out to Middleton Place for Plantation Days. The Plantation was working and all the volunteers were showing life as it was 200 years ago. Juliette was fascinated by everything - two main things though - the horses, June Bug and Pearl in particular and the man making honey only because he let her sample 6 spoonfuls.

Tripp enjoyed the day. He laughed at the pigs and enjoyed watching all of the activity and a simply perfect day to be outside.

Her friend Pearl, we could have left her with the horse all afternoon and she would be been completely satisfied

Running her energy off trying to chase the sheep

My sweet happy boy just hanging out and enjoying the day!

I may be biased but is the Lowcountry not gorgeous?

Juliette got to go in the stable and play with June Bug before she did some work showing everyone how sugar used to be pushed out of the sugar cane

Some morning excitement

This week Juliette was studying the letter "H". It is the cutest thing she run around the house all day sounding out letter that she is studying. Well "H" brought much excitement to show and tell because she brought in "Starla" which is her Doll "Danette's" HORSE. We brought in her hat, some hay for her to eat and even the necklace around her neck that was her Mommy's when she was little.

She had quite a load as well because she was returning the leader bag that she gets to bring home each time she is the leader. This is also very exciting. Do you see the pointer in her hand? This is the most exciting thing that she brings home each week. Each of the little girls love to play teacher at school and they all love to play teacher and use this pointer.

"You must be kidding..."

Thoughts from our sweet dogs....

You must be kidding... now a new one to terrorize us??

It appears that way - it looks to be two ladies with a "boykin"
