Picking veggies from Doh's garden

Juliette and I have been left in charge of the garden while my parents have been on vacation. We had quite a good time each morning heading over to water, pick fruits and veggies and then eat them while we are in the yard. I cannot believe how Juliette has taken such a liking to all veggies. She takes the tomatoes off of the vine and eats them like they are an orange. She absolutely loves them. There are plenty of blueberries that she enjoys picking and eating off of the bush as well.

Good to the last drop!

leaving with all of our fresh loot...

"Wow Mommy that is a big minnow"

Today to keep the staycation going we all decided to go fishing early this morning. I had no expectations that we would catch any fish with our assistant on board... however we did... and boy was Juliette excited!! When Don caught the large red fish Juliette said "Wow Mommy that is a BIG minnow!"

She already loves the whole concept of fishing and will hand us some minnows when we need them for our line. Of course being her nature, she is insistent that she needs to hold a fishing rod... "all by myself"... that was interesting. next time we will be taking her Barbie rod that Doh brought to the hospital for her on the day she was born.

Just another fun summer day!

Oh all the things that we have been up to lately... and there has been a lot

We have been so busy with so many fun things going on lately... We're enjoying every minute of our summer. I am taking this week off and having a staycation. Juliette and I are playing all week. I am looking very forward to it.

Juliette's new favorite words... "Mommy, I can do it all by myself"... she thanked my Mom the other day for being a great helper... Is she funny or what?

Having the best weekend with our dear friends the Keeley's
Juliette at the special event at Isle of Palms releasing some rare injured sea turtles that have been nursed back to good health
Look Mommy, I see a turtle...

There were 3 turtles released and this was the smallest but rarest turtle

Juliette and her baby "slicky". Her other baby's name is "baba"... I am not sure where she comes up with these names.

"I love my friends... Mommy, do they ever have to go home?"

Why not be the scary witch at dinner time...
Daddy's day brought a special boat ride with great friends. Thanks Chris and Jill for such a great ride today through the harbor

Juliette and Cecelia having a blast on the boat

Summer means.... ice cream!

And boy do we love some ice cream in the summertime. Another new treat this summer has been Popsicles too... a girl has to know how to keep cool.

The look of guilt...

We had some good friends over for a cookout Sunday evening, Audrey and Juliette are three months apart. We turned our head for one second and look what the girls got into. Juliette "showed" Audrey where the candy stash was and made Audrey do the digging... either way they both had some major loot devoured in five seconds...

They had too much fun together and were TOO cute!

Check out the mouth full on Juliette of the "chocolac bunny"
If I can't see you then there is no possible way that you can see me

Still a baby to me....

Even though Juliette gets bigger each day and CHATTIER by the day, she is still a baby to me when I look at her in her crib. She is in no hurry to be out of her crib and we have been in no hurry to move her to a bed. She has a routine where she enjoys reading to her animals each night before bed in her crib and she enjoys reading to them when she wakes up in the morning. We can here her reading to them from the monitor in our room. It is the cuteste thing ever. She will read to them dor up to 40 minutes without squaking at all to get up. Sometimes, when we go to get her up she tells us that she is not ready yet.

This is Juliette horizontal - her crib is long ways so she is not hanging out I promise :)
