Happy 7 Months old Juliette

Wow! We are 7 months old and officially crawling! Juliette can now maneuver herself across the room. She was held up trying to figure out how to move the arms for a while but has mastered that skill.

She is loving food. She has tried squash, peas, sweet peas, bananas, pears, peaches and sweet potatoes. There is not a food that she has not liked except really applesauce. She was not crazy about the texture I think.

We are now working on the "ma ma" and "da da". She is babbling and talking up a storm but not really pronouncing anything distinct yet. She has a new "big girl" stroller that she loves to sit in. You can see below for her first ride. She also enjoys riding on her Doh's back in her new back pack. She usually falls asleep during the walk but gets quite stimulated with all of the birds and outdoor action

We still have two bottom teeth and no more signs of any yet on the way. The drooling has diminished in the last week or two. There still is a need for bibs but not nearly as bad.

Oh and not to forget some great news - we can wear a bow!! The day has come where there is enough hair to fit the bow in. Although Juliette can not say yet, I know that the Princess loves a bow - it would only be fit for her.

We are just so thankful everyday for her!

I think I can... I think I can... but not quite yet!

So we are SO close to crawling. You could say that if there is something a few arm lengths away from Juliette she will do her best to get to it... and she gets there. She is SO cute though how she lifts her whole bottom up in the air and glides back and forth. She is determined and in the process can do a full push up! I was able to capture a few of the shots of her just trying to get moving. My Dad was at Lowe's and went ahead and picked us up the safety plug-ins. It is hard to believe that is that time but we are just around the corner from being mobile. Below are the pictures in order of Juliette trying to get to her little toy. She did get there!

Vail Ski Trip

We made our way out to our annual ski trip. We were away from Juliette for 4 days. We had a wonderful time but we surely did miss her! The snow and the weather were amazing. The conditions for skiing were perfect. We also tried our hands at snowmobiling. That was quite fun! We were able to see beautiful mountain and countryside. We were able to meet Don's parents out there one day and ski as they were staying not far from us.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Don and I this year have not only the two of us to celebrate but our new little cupid. Indeed we are so blessed to have such a special baby girl. Juliette wore her pink and red heart pants for the day with her brown Robeez with hearts on the toes. She also got to wear for a moment her first heart ring.

Visit with the Hall's

What a wonderful visit we had with the Hall's. Rick, Sandy and Sarah were in town for the week. We always have so much fun with them. It was great too that they got to meet Juliette and spend some time with her. We had some wonderful sushi that Don has perfected as you can see below. Dad also tried his hand in it and completed his first sushi roll. He was quite excited!

Southesatern Wildlife Expo

The Hall's went to the Expo on Friday. Sarah decided that she wanted to enter Gypsy in the "Dock Dog" contest. This is a pretty big event and dogs come from all over to register as well as local dogs. Don and I had wondered how Gypsy would do but we were not quite brave enough to try her out. Needless to say Gypsy jumped in the practice round but she got "cold tail" and would not jump in front of the audience and with the noise. We think it was a bit high for her and getting the ball was just not worth it. Thanks again to her trainer Sarah for a great effort. Don now has a new name for Gypsy and that is "Dock Dud"... poor Gypsy.

Juliette eats rice cereal

Ta Da - it is official - our little Miss had her first food today. She loved it. We had so much fun with it. At first she would push her tongue out with the cereal and it would come right out on the bib. Then she really got the hang of it and really enjoyed it. Aunt Kathleen we loved the Ragedy Ann bowl to eat out of it and Mima and Papa we enjoyed the spoon.
