A super fun day for a birthday party at the park...

Juliette and Mommy had a blast today at Aldret's 2nd birthday party at a park in Summerville. The sun was out and it was 79 degrees. The day could not have been more beautiful!

The most exciting news is that Juliette has been pottying for four days now - we have been jumping for joy!

I LOVE to fish...

So I will continue to help my Daddy fly fish in the living room until I can fish on the boat.

Happy Happy Valentine's day

A very Happy Valentine's day to everyone. Juliette and I had a great afternoon playing outside on this fantastic day! We are finally reaching some temperatures in the 60's and may see the mid-70's by the end of the week.

My wonderful husband sent me some gorgeous flowers as well today. We are having a little evening out on the town tonight so I am very excited about that.

Back to the aquarium already

We had so much fun last weekend at the aquarium that we headed back there after church again yesterday. Juliette got to see her first 4-D movie. She even kept the speical glasses on. They were showing 20 minutes of "Happy Feet". She was very brave but she did not make it through the whole movie. She got a little bit scared.

We will try it again when she is a little bit older. Still though running around with beautiful fish is a great day!

A little of this and that

Juliette turned 2 1/2 years old this past week. I know that I say it every time but it is so hard to believe. She is as sweet and funny as ever. Here are a few things that she has been saying:

Yogurt - Juliette calls it "yo-grit"

When I am changing a poo-poo I ofter tell her "Juliette the horse is gagging... (of course from the smell). This afternoon we were playing outside and she was filthy with dirt. I came in the kitchen and she was wiping her clothes with a napkin. I asked her what she was doing and she said "Mommy, but I don't want the horses to gag on me..."

She loves to watch anything Mickey Mouse and Angelina ballerina. It is so funny now because she actually gets the humor and when things are funny she laughs. She likes to say, "Mommy, that Mickey mouse is so silly."

She is still a wonderful sleeper and napper. She is still down each afternoon between two and three hours.

She eats anything still. I finally did find one thing that she is not very fond of - cottage cheese. She laughs every time she sees me eating it and says, "Mommy, I don't like cottage cheese"

She loves school. I drop her off and she gives me a "great big hug" and a "great big kiss". If she forgets she comes looking for me at the door.

She is such a blessing and we enjoy her more than words can describe!

Always a fun date night...

Juliette always loves to get together with Thomas, Ellison, Michael and Matthew. Ms. Lee was so sweet to cook us a wonderful dinner. Juliette had a blast!

Looks like someone is getting ready for Valentine's Day...

Juliette has a Valentine's Day party at school tomorrow so this afternoon we worked on our Valentine's. We even found them with doggies on them so to say the least she is very excited!

A day at the "bekarion" also known as "aquariam"

Don and I took Juliette down to the Aquarium yesterday. It really is such a wonderful place for both children and adults. We did get an annual membership so I intend to use it much more. Friends who go often let me know because we would love to join you.

Juliette had a great time with all of the fish and the turtles and even got to pet a rat snake. She was EXHAUSTED though. The shower was yesterday and she did not have a nap at all. For the first time that I can remember she just crashed inside. Don and I turned around at the aquarium and she was laid out on the floor with her eyes closed. We managed to get home in time because if she falls asleep in the car for even five minutes, she will not sleep for the rest of the day.

What a fun adventure for all of us!

A Super special Baby Shower

I hosted a super special baby shower for baby girl Mace this past weekend. My best friend Elizabeth Kovacs Mace who moved to TX with her husband was in town to celebrate! We indeed did just that.

Elizabeth, we are so excited to meet Abigail Claire (sp) in just a few months. Of course as always it was wonderful to get to see you and all of your friends and family.

A Valentine's treat from Auntie Toni in Chicago

Juliette was most excited to open her special Valentine's day card and her very own Ghirardelli chocolate... Auntie, you know how to spoil her for sure! She was so very excited to open her special package.

Three peas in a pod

Ahh.. The beauty of Vail!

Don and I just returned from our trip to Vail. We had a fantastic time as always with good friends. The weather was amazing. On top of the mountain all three days that we skied it was 38 degrees. Today the high was going to be 5 degrees. The sun was out everyday and the Sunday before we arrived on that Wednesday they got two feet of snow.

Anyhoo, it was a wonderful break. Thank you so much Tessa and Doh for all of your good care while we were gone. We were very happy to see Juliette when we got home.
